At the bottom of our paracord leash is a carabiner from KONG, a safety and rigging supplier founded in 1830 and based in Italy. KONG carabiners are amongst some of the most premium pieces of equipment when it comes to human safety standards. They are regularly used throughout the climbing and repelling industry and are trusted with securing human life. This ergonomically shaped carabiner is medium in size and suited for a range of hand sizes making it the ideal choice. The keylock gate makes for a super secure closure that will only open when there is intention.
We’ve opted for a specialized approach to the handle which allows for durability and cohesion across the collar and leash range. Our matching mil-spec nylon handles are incredibly durable and are constructed from made in USA nylon that is abrasion resistant and time tested. It provides a comfortable surface for the hand and is the perfect size to either wrap around your wrist or simply hold at the end. The handle is secured to the paracord section via a 20kn aluminum d-ring that is overengineered by design. We have made it a point to reinforce all connection points on our collars and leashes to ensure no weak points exist in the system.
Towards the bottom of the handle is a made in USA additional d-ring that serves the purpose of attachments. Here you can clasp your water bottle, poop bags, or any other items necessary for your walk.
